Old Breville Washing Machine

I found this on the side of the road on Sunday. One of these old Breville Washing machines are in the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney, Australia.

    This was a popular style of washing machine, although it did little to minimise the hard labour involved in the family wash. The handle is attached to a conical 'dolly'. Raising and lowering the handle agitates the washing and forces the suds through the clothes.
