Frankie's Place, Darby St, Newcastle NSW

I am visiting Newcastle NSW this week, vintage shopping in Darby St, its an uber cool fashion strip. Frankie's Place has just opened and I went in for coffee.  One wall is devoted entirely to vinyl record cover albums.  Retro decor at its coolest.

  2. Ah... It's only 2 weeks old... Takes at least a month to fine tune these things..

  3. I guess I thought maybe the food would be sorted out prior to opening so they don't lose repeat customers...especially in a competitive area like Darby st!

  6. You're absolutely right KH I've never started a cafe from scratch but I'm pretty good at being a consumer and it seems reasonably obvious to me that you would get little things like the umm food and menu sorted out BEFORE you open the doors to the public. I would have thought that return business in a competitive market like Darby street would be of the utmost importance...just sayin
